Ryan Tibbets is the Chief of Staff for the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Ryan began his career as a firefighter for the City of Wyoming Michigan in 1997. He moved to Georgetown Township where he became Deputy Chief and also serves the City of Kalamazoo as Chief of Staff, having been Assistant Chief of Fire Administration and Finance.
Ryan attended Grand Rapids Community College and obtained his master’s degree in public administration from Grand Valley State University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in fire science from Lake Superior State University and successfully attended the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program.
