One of our newest enhancements at GIS is building a team of experts utilizing the various features of ArcGIS from Esri Software. If a picture paints a thousand words, a GIS word-story expands that to thousands or millions!

Monicque describes herself as “a geospatial professional, driven by using the power of maps to enhance the understanding and management of our planet and its resources.” She has quality, accuracy, and creativity in her work, and strives to make a positive impact with geospatial solutions.

She is a GIS Specialist at the Center for Public Safety Management, LLC in Fire & EMS. She supports developing and delivering high-quality geospatial products and services for various clients and stakeholders using cutting-edge technologies and innovative methods. CPSM’s mission is to provide GIS solutions and consulting for public safety agencies and local governments, helping them improve their performance and efficiency.

Additionally, she has been a GIS Contractor and Consultant for multiple projects and organizations, including Maxar Technologies, offering her expertise and guidance on geospatial issues and challenges and meeting project milestones and deadlines with quality and efficiency.

She serves on the GISCorps Disaster Response Committee and is an active admin on #Photomappers missions. In the past, she has participated as a volunteer with URISA’s GIS Corps, being an active team member on projects such as the COVID-19 GIS Testing Site Mission and the Initial Wildfire Response Mapping project, #FireMappers Mission, where she worked regionally as part of a holistic team using cutting-edge methods of disseminating real-time fire data to the public utilizing social media.

Monicque has extensive experience in the areas of data and geospatial analysis, hydrographic data processing, mapping platforms, and project management. She has worked as a GIS consultant, and with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where she received a U.S. Army commendation, and the United States Geological Survey, Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center. She has a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science & Technology.
